The Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale manages a complex digital ecosystem comprising more than 70 websites, including elementary and secondary schools, vocational training centers, services to businesses, and the institutional website. For many years, Reptile has acted as a trusted technology partner, ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing evolution of this environment.
The initial mandate involved supporting the CSS and its IT firm in planning and executing the migration of all websites to a cloud-based infrastructure. Prior to the migration, custom scripts and procedures were developed to standardize operations, eliminate improvisation, and secure every stage of the deployment. This approach enabled a smooth migration with no service interruptions.
Over time, the infrastructure evolved to meet the client’s operational needs. Due to constraints related to scalability, performance, and shared hosting, several successive migrations were carried out toward more suitable environments, ultimately leading to the implementation of a dedicated VPS. Reptile handled the analysis, setup, full migration, and stabilization of each new environment.
Today, the scope of support extends well beyond hosting. Reptile acts as the first line of technical support for all sites: whenever a school administrator encounters an issue, a ticket is opened through the CSS IT team and addressed promptly by our team. Requests for adjustments, fixes, or functional enhancements are also managed by our team.
From an operational standpoint, several key components have been implemented:
